The Making of a Care Bar

Overview
Care Bars was started as both a hobby and a way to be more environmentally friendly with the bath and body products being used in our home. After creating my own cleaning products for some time, I decided it was time to venture into the world of soap.

After the first batch, I was hooked! I loved the end product and remember saying to my husband "perhaps my perspective is biased but I feel this is the nicest soap I have ever used". I also loved the fact that I had control over the ingredients going into each product, allowing me to know exactly what was being used on my family's skin and going down our drains. I couldn't stop at just one batch of soap. I started experimenting with various essential oils, moisturizers and other raw ingredients. There was now so much soap in our house there was no way we would be able to use it all on our own. Friends encouraged me to have an open house to sell my products and the rest is history.

The name Care Bars was also inspired by a dear friend of mine. She called me up one day with so much excitement in her voice saying she had the perfect name for my soaps. She said "you just have to call them Care Bars as you are caring, you care for the environment and you're Care Bear (my nickname growing up)". Well how could I deny such logic!

Care Bars has received great reviews from those that have used the products. I have appreciated the feedback from my clients which has helped to shape the future of my business. I encourage all of you that try my products to provide me with your feedback. The Care Bars line will continue to expand in the near future and I hope you will join this exciting journey with me.

Meet Carrie

Hello, my name is Carrie, aka Care Bear, and here I am at my first open house just beaming with excitement. I am thrilled to be involved in a business that I have so much passion for. It enables me to utilize the 6 years of skin care experience I have as an aesthetician, put the 11 years of marketing experience to work in a different field and most importantly, offer a product that is environmentally friendly.

My promise to you
I am committed to creating products that are healthy for your body and the environment. Only raw, natural ingredients with no additives or preservatives will be used. It is my goal to purchase the ingredients used locally as best I can and make the packaging as environmentally friendly as possible.

Care Bars soap is extremely moisturizing which is great for my skin, especially in the dryness of winter.  I like to run a bath with the Vanilla Bath Salts, followed up with the Honey Almond soap for exfoliating and the Mint soap for that amazing refreshing sensation - it is like being at the spa without leaving home!  Not to mention I love, love, love the Lip Balm to keep my lips kissable - I put it on morning, noon, and night.

BTW - the soap that you gave me rocks! I love it! Oh and so does Julian (11 year old son). I saw him last night and he said he used your soap in the morning, then when I saw him later in the day he said, "smell me, you can still smell it" - He loves it to. I am not a soap user so it is pretty big that I like it. I use it every shower since I started. Good stuff!!
